Bathroom Remodeling
We see a lot of bathrooms! And to be honest, most look the same. Even though there are areas within our community with very unique homes that differ greatly from their next door neighbor, the vast majority of homes are nestled into a tract development. We make these houses our homes with personal touches, but they do have a “cookie-cutter” feel to them. More than likely you and the rest or your street, have the same bathroom layout. The challenge of rethinking a bathroom into something new is exciting. This is your opportunity to have something a little different.
The average age of a home needing a “face-lift” is 15-20 years, sometime younger if you’ve had the unfortunate experience of a broken pipe or slow leak.
If you have been dreaming of a bathroom that’s not only practical and attractive, but also serves as a place for peace and calm serenity, Big Tree Kitchen & Bath can help you achieve your vision. We believe that your bathroom should not just serve its functional purpose, but also be a beautiful and relaxing. Whether you want to remove an unused tub to make room for a walk-in shower, or install a free standing tub for hours of intended soaking, Big Tree would love the opportunity to provide support for your dream while helping to manage your intended budget.
Project Management
Managing your project expectation is a priority for us, regardless of the project size. There are so many branches to a renovation, remodel or flooring update. Though some of our clients have experienced a remodel or renovation before, there are many that have not. Helping to guide you through the process with our expertise allows us to be not only more efficient with timing and expectation, but also allows for us to help you make sound finish choices that function well for your lifestyle and budget; and that you love to see every day. We use a combination of hand sketching and computer rendering combined with product samples to help in the communication of the intended final product.
New construction and custom builds
With the influx of migration to our beautiful valley, the need for a reliable contractor to help on your project is great. Big Tree Kitchen and Bath has established relationships with local custom builders and general contractors. Whether it is just flooring that you need for your (or your client’s) new home, or flooring, cabinets, counters and showers, we are there to help you realize your vision while working within your builder’s timeline for installation.
PRODUCTS
Carpet
Though most of the time we are taking carpet out to install hard surface, there are still areas in your home where carpet might still be needed. Selecting the right carpet for your lifestyle is important. There are several factors that determine the superiority, the class, the value, the worth and therefore the quality of Carpet. The type of fiber, the quality of materials, the amount of materials and the way it is constructed.
Laminate
Laminate flooring mixes natural looking designs with a tough, durable finish and can be used in almost any area of the home. Low maintenance requirements and durability are not all that laminate floors can possess. Laminate is the best flooring solution for those who enjoy the look of real wood, but want a more affordable option. Laminate flooring is an excellent choice for our customers who are remodeling on a budget, but still want appealing flooring.
Vinyl Plank
Much like laminate, vinyl plank offers natural looking designs in both wood look and stone look while offering a highly durable surface. Unlike laminate, vinyl plank is a water proof solution for your home. Vinyl plank can be installed as a floated floor or as glue down depending on the offering. It has gained significant traction in the building industry as its price point allows for client that are wanting a single water proof installation throughout the entirety of their home.
Porcelain and Ceramic Tile
Tile is the ultimate in water-proof flooring. The textures and imaging of Ceramic and Porcelain tile on the market are amazing and they just keep getting better. Whether it’s a stone look or a wood look, tile offers so many options for creativity and design in your home. All while maintaining a low maintenance highly durable surface.
Stone
Stone flooring is a beautiful product of nature. Common natural stone flooring includes slate, marble, limestone, travertine, granite, and sandstone—each of which has slightly different properties. Though stone is a beautiful surface that many household love to live on, it is a porous surface and requires more maintenance that a porcelain tile made to look like it. The beauty of stone comes from its natural variation and some stone can vary greatly throughout a floor. When considering stone for your floor, it’s best to see a large spread of the stone prior to commitment.
Wood
When referring to wood flooring here in California, we are typically discussing what is referred to as engineered wood flooring versus solid hard wood flooring. Due to the concrete slab construction of the home in our area, engineer floors are more commonly used. Engineered wood floors are constructed of a veneer of wood (varying species) over a plywood or solid wood core (typically of a differing species). Engineered wood is most commonly glue down, but can be installed as a floated floor or stapled if the manufacture allows.
Granite
When used for kitchen countertops, it’s far superior to marble, synthetic and laminate. It’s also better-looking and has a luminous, dimensional quality when polished. Granite is made up of interlocking mineral crystals, the most common being feldspar and quartz.
Quartz
Although some quartz countertops are actually made of quarried slabs of the natural stone, the new engineered material is actually created through a manufacturing process that mixes approximately 95 percent ground natural quartz with 5 percent polymer resins
